Troy

Once upon a time, I read the greatest dismissive review of a movie ever:

"Based on the blurb on the back of the book by...."

Troy is a lot like that.

If you want good battle scenes, rent Braveheart. If you want great hand-to-hand combat, rent Gladiator. If you want a good movie about Greek wars, you're going to have to wait a bit longer. If you're looking for Brad Pitt's ass, you want to loop the bit from Thelma and Louise. And if you want a decent interpretation of the Iliad, save yourself some money and time and don't bother watching Troy, 'cos this ain't it.

A lot of people are saying that Van Helsing is bad, but at least it's fun and entertaining. Troy doesn't even give you that.

But at least you are listening to Sun Ra. That's a damn good thing.

As you say, that is damn good thing. A moment of silence, then, for Sun Ra--

and now, back to your irregularly scheduled Elephants.
