I was entering in a bunch of names (180+) into a database, and as I was a little punch(card)-drunk toward the end, I thought that one student's name was peculiar enough to make a comment on, in a junior-high-ish sort of way. I first posted a public entry on the name, then changed the entry to friends-only after realizing that it might not have been the most mature thing I've written in a livejournal entry, and now I'm going to delete the silly thing completely. Please understand, this is not due to peer pressure or self-censorship; it's just that as I read the entry now, a few hours later, well-fed and relaxed, it just doesn't make that much sense to me.

So out it goes.

As for unusual names, I've known a few. As a child, I knew a Carrie Coffee. My brother's name is Darth, and my other brother, who joined his last name with his wife's to form Nielsenshultz, has named his son and daughter Liam Gregory and Aisling (pronounced eh-zling) Rose Adeira, respectively. These kids will have no difficulties with spelling when they grow up. I myself was once slated to be Lars or Bjorn. Talk about close calls!

But, but, what was the student's name? For now I am curious, but you deleted it while I was still sleeping, and so I never got a chance to see it.
