Oh. Dear. That's unfortunate.
To answer ctiee, there's an unfortunate but inescapable affiliation of the eagle with a previous German party:
If you get to see film from the Nuremberg rallies during the Nazi years, the eagle was very prominent in National Socialist iconology.
