Brent Foster, an Australian with a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, the most popular Korean martial sport, reckons the katana, the quintessential Japanese weapon, is the greatest weapon EVAH.

Really, the series is fun, but it's also anabashedly (and perhaps unwittingly) OTT.

I would have to agree. The katana is sheer killing masterpiece. Except for maybe napalm.

Well, I'd personally prefer the falcata, but like any sword its effectiveness is largely dependent on the skill of the person wielding it.

That's if we're comparing similar weapons, otherwise we're into the realm of the famous "Indiana Jones" sword scene.
