In a previous journal entry, I catalogued six truths and four lies about myself. Here they are again, with the lies printed in bold:

1. I work for the City of Oakland Office of Parks and Recreation.

I stopped working for Oakland on Friday, February 4, and I now currently work for the Feds.

2. I have climbed Mt. Fuji.

Almost made it in time for sunrise, only to have the day be cloudy and overcast. Ah, well, still worth it.

3. Sugar Ray Leonard once told me, "You must be a basketball player."

True story. Better yet, coworkers quickly emailed me offering to kick his ass for me if I felt insulted.

4. I have a secret EverQuest account I never tell anyone about.

Like I need that kind of crack in my life. I played on MUSHs when I was in college, and that was more than enough for a lifetime.

5. I have sat on King Arthur's Seat in Scotland.

It's on a hill outside of Edinburgh, and the wind nearly blew my hat off. Amazing view.

6. I quit playing basketball because I broke my leg.

I quit playing basketball because I was never really into it and the doctor handed me a nifty heart problem diagnosis that gave me a convenient excuse to quit.

7. My voice can make chairs vibrate.

True! When I speak loudly or sing, I've been known to make metal chairs vibrate. It's the whole basso profundo thing.

8. I once told Sugar Ray Leonard, "You must be a boxer."

He laughed, clapped me on the shoulder, and shook my hand. That man is truly a mensch.

9. I run 5 miles every week.

Hahaha, I wish. Right now I'm walking a lot, due to my commute, and that's about it. Back to rock-climbing and swimming soon, though, I hope.

10. My BP is 120/80, my cholesterol is low, and my blood sugar is a little on the high side.

I had a physical on Monday, January 31, and I'm pleased to report that I'm in great health. Hand me that hot dog.

Tsk. It's never to late to pick up MUSHing again! Only, you might want to try MUCKing instead. Much better!

*whines* Although, I can do neither myself, at the moment. %#$%#$*& firewalls.

Hey, no fair, it's only 10 in the morning where you are, whereas the rest of us poor saps are on our way to bed.

As long as it's not MUDding, I'm a happy camper. I played on several Whitewolf MUSHes in the early nineties, and really, it was an incredible timesink. Now I have LJ, so that's all of my time sunk anyway.

Oh, and I'm about 100 pages into Iron Council, which is just frigging awesome.

Wow. An early 90's mu*er. *bows before you* Man, back then, mu*s must have been much more impressive. Now that we've got all these flashy MMORPG's with graphics, my beloved mu*s do seem kinda simple.

But much <3 for Iron Council. I think I still like The Scar a bit better, but Toro and Cutter ruled.

And anyway, how do you know I'm not just heading off to bed myself? It was a big night last night, and 10am wouldn't be /that/ late to be returning home. XD
