I still remember, fondly, the spring when we decided enough was enough and flew out to Tokyo, found the right train and went to the Spring Basho in Osaka.

We managed to wrangle seats on the West side, and got a tremendous view of the full ceremonies. Prayers and salt, and I'll never forget the full-out display of all the wrestlers' display kimono. Gorgeous! And so many dragons and tigers and ogres in rippling, gleaming silk! Then the baring of sheer, powerful mass, and the explosion of contact.

Amazing stuff.

That was a beautiful Spring day, made the more glorious by Musashimaru's stunning performance. Who would have thought the big lug had that kind of grace in him?
