A book you own that no one on your friends list does: CLR James' The Black Jacobins, the definitive history of Toussaint L'Ouverture and the San Domingo revolution (i.e., the founding of Haiti). This amazing story would rival Braveheart if any good director were brave enough to film it.
A CD you own that no one on your friends list does: A toss-up between 3Mustaphas3's "Heart of Uncle" and Polkacide's eponymous CD. If you have either of these CDs, give me a shout out.
A DVD/VHS tape you own that no one on your friends list does: Swallowtail Butterfly by Shunji Iwai. A polyglot piece on violence, drugs, and counterfeiting. I love it. You can't get it on DVD here in the States, so I'm guessing I'm pretty free and clear in saying I'm the only one on my Friends list who has a copy.
A place you've been that no one on your friends list has been: It would be too easy to mention some place in rural Japan, so instead I'll say the military rifle range in the restricted area of the hill overlooking Xiamen, PRC. No, we were not supposed to be there. Yes, I'm glad no one caught us.

A technicality?
Date: 2004-10-13 12:53 pm (UTC)If by "CD" you mean "album", you lose the Polkacide bet, as I have the first LP from the 80s. I had no idea it was on CD, except for some rumoured Japanese bootleg (is that what you have?)
Someone stole the Keeska....Let's go kick his ass!
