Oh, c'mon. The Eye of Agamotto was only secondarily a weapon. It was mostly for piercing the veils of illusion and revealing the unseen. Not to mention that it was a portal to Wonderland.

(^_^) I love it when True Believers take issue with my four word parenthetical descriptions aimed at dilettantes; after all, True Believers don't even need parenthetical descriptions of things like the Eye of Agamotto.
