January: Forget the War on Christmas. Luigi Cascioli is going right to the source.
February: The lovely and talented [info]liralen inflicted this beautiful and goal-less game on me, and now, I am a vector
March: Slobodan Milosevic is dead. He was found dead in his cell, apparently dead of natural causes at the age of 64.
April: Bill Gates is arguably the richest single human being on the planet. And yet his workflow and workspace are the least imaginative I've seen.
May: According to this Boston Globe Article (thanks, psb!), President Bush "has quietly claimed the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office, asserting that he has the power to set aside any statute passed by Congress when it conflicts with his interpretation of the Constitution."
June: Derek Lowe is a chemist and professor. He's also vastly amusing, especially when explain why he won't work with certain chemicals
July: PVPonline pretty much sums up my reaction to Superman Returns, particularly the Blog entry for today.
August: I started off the day with a lofty set of goals: get/build bookshelves, secure the downstairs door (which leads to the basement, and which should be secured by means of the big deadlock the landlord installed, and to which I have no key, and which said landlord left open longer than I felt comfortable with), and clean out the detritus that my temporary Yoko-less state has inflicted on the fridge. The last was easily done first; the second was remedied by discovering that the landlord had locked the deadbolt; and the third, well, the third ended in a stroke of luck.
September: Crocodile Hunter died of complications due to a stingray sting.
October: I was searching the web for a copy of the newish Basement Jaxx track Hey U (.mp3, 6.8mb), and I came upon this spectacular video for their track Take Me Back to Your House (YouTube video).
November: Researchers in Mali have found 150,000 ancient texts buried in Timbuktu. This is remarkable on so many levels.
December: Brent Foster, an Australian with a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, the most popular Korean martial sport, reckons the katana, the quintessential Japanese weapon, is the greatest weapon EVAH.
